Cantrip Upgrade. The damage increases by 1d6 when you reach levels 5 (2d6), 11 (3d6), and 17 (4d6).

Thorn Whip 5.5e 2024 vs. 5e 2014 edition differences
Both versions deal 1d6 piercing damage, increasing at levels 5, 11, and 17. The 2024 version clarifies "on a hit" and "you can pull" instead of "if the attack hits" and "you pull," but mechanically, damage and pull effects are unchanged. No significant mechanical differences.
