Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The healing increases by 1d8 for each spell slot level above 2.

Up to six creatures of your choice that you can see within range each regain hit points equal to 2d8 + your spellcasting ability modifier. This spell has no effect on undead or constructs.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the healing increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd.

Prayer of Healing 5.5e 2024 vs. 5e 2014 edition differences

The 2024 version affects only five creatures, not six, and grants the benefits of a Short Rest instead of just healing. It also allows affected creatures to regain Hit Points, and they cannot be affected again until a Long Rest. The 2014 version heals six creatures and only restores hit points.
