It now targets up to 5 creatures instead of 6, and they must stay within range for the full casting rather than just be visible in range. It also no longer says undead or constructs are unaffected, and a creature can’t benefit again until it finishes a Long Rest. Now also available to Paladins.

Spells similar to Prayer of Healing

  • Aid 2nd-level abjuration

It’s the same spell level and both grant extra temporary hit points or durability to multiple allies at range for a long duration, making it a common group-support pick for divine casters.

  • Mass Healing Word 3rd-level abjuration

Both are area-focused healing options clerics use to restore multiple allies at once, traded off between casting level, range, and timing.

  • Beacon of Hope 3rd-level abjuration

It’s a multi-target cleric spell that amplifies the effectiveness of healing on a group, so players often choose it in the same situations they’d consider group heals.

  • Healing Word 1st-level abjuration

Although single-target and lower level, it fills the same battlefield role of quick, ranged healing from a divine caster and is commonly compared to other healing options.

  • Cure Wounds 1st-level abjuration

This is the baseline single-target healing spell clerics use, and it’s useful to compare because Prayer of Healing trades single-target immediacy for broader, delayed group healing.
