Each creature in a 10-foot radius, 40-foot high cylinder centered on a point within range must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 4d6 fire damage and 4d6 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the fire damage or the radiant damage (your choice) increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 5th.

Flame Strike 5.5e 2024 vs. 5e 2014 edition differences

The 2024 version deals 5d6 fire and 5d6 radiant damage, while the 2014 version deals 4d6 of each. The 2024 version's damage increases by 1d6 per slot level above 5th, with the 2014 version allowing a choice of increasing fire or radiant damage. Damage types are explicitly capitalized in 2024.
