Duration

You touch a creature. If it is poisoned, you neutralize the poison. If more than one poison afflicts the target, you neutralize one poison that you know is present, or you neutralize one at random.

For the duration, the target has advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and it has resistance to poison damage.

Protection from Poison 5.5e 2024 vs. 5e 2014 edition differences

It no longer neutralizes poison afflictions or picks one poison to remove if multiple are present. Instead, it ends the Poisoned condition on the target, and the ongoing benefit now helps against saves to avoid or end that condition.
