As a Bonus Action, you can move the eye up to 30 feet in any direction. A solid barrier blocks the eye's movement, but the eye can pass through an opening as small as 1 inch in diameter.

Arcane Eye 5.5e 2024 vs. 5e 2014 edition differences
The 2024 version specifies the eye is invulnerable and can be moved as a bonus action, whereas the 2014 version does not mention invulnerability and allows movement as an action. Both have the same range, vision capabilities, and barrier interactions; duration is "up to 1 hour" in 2024, same as 1 hour in 2014.
